Pesaro's Great Golden Age. Dated 1978, this Mastro de Paja embodies the essence and craftsmanship of the very first years of the renowned Marche-based artisanal manufacture. Pipes from this decade are highly sought after by collectors for their undeniable historical value and for the quality of their briar, which, having rested for almost fifty years, guarantees smokes of unparalleled sweetness and maturity.
Tulipan Shape and Red Sandblasting. The straight Tulipan shape is a triumph of elegance: the bowl rises upwards, gently flaring towards the rim, reminiscent of a tulip flower. This shape is not only beautiful but also allows for an excellent grip and perfect heat dissipation. The red sandblasted finish gives the pipe a vibrant and tactile character, creating a magnificent contrast with the smooth rim.
The Prestige of "1 Sole" 1B. Even for sandblasted finishes, Mastro de Paja used its rigorous classification system. The 1B stamping, accompanied by the "1 Sole ☀︎" symbol, testifies that the structure and grain of this briar were considered of the highest level from the outset. As this is a used (broken-in) pipe, it is perfectly stabilized. It is in excellent condition, with its original straight stem and the classic silver dot.
