Big Ben pipes are manufactured by Elbert Gubbels & Zonen of Roemond in the Netherlands.

It is the only briar pipe factory in Holland; we must not forget, however, that clay pipes were already being manufactured in Holland in the 17th century and that this country was famous together with England for the construction of these pipes. The Gubbels family began its pipe business at the beginning of the last century with a simple tobacco shop, then became a real pipe factory between the 30s and 40s and now continues its business with its third generation.

Big Ben was for years one of the most advanced and modern factories in Europe. the factory has gone from an artisanal production to an industrial activity.
