Poul Winslow, born in 1951, began his apprenticeship at Preben Holm at the age of 17. Here he learned how to make beautiful and solid pipes. He must have been very talented and for this he was allowed to design and build his own pipes.
Due to the many assignments, he quickly mastered the craft. d
After a number of years he was in military service with the Air Force. Preben Holm wanted to be sure of Winslow's services, which is why he simply paid him a third of his wages during his service. TO
Upon his return, the company grew from the seams and moved to the countryside. At one point they even employed 25 people, of which Winslow was in command.
After 17 years, Preben Holm suddenly fell ill and died. That's why Winslow decided to start over on his own. The start was difficult, but after much persistence he was able to establish his name. It is currently one of the most famous pipe manufacturers in the world.
His pipes have their own style and are often very recognizable. Besides the beauty, the pipes are great to smoke and are of excellent quality. His pipes have different grades, stamped from A to E.; the nicest ones have an A grade. Below the E is the Crown series, these are good tubes, but there can be small errors. They do not compromise on quality, just non-visible cosmetic defects. These are also cheaper to buy. Each pipe in itself is a true work of art and stands out clearly from the standard ones.
