Among the variants with a fancy mouthpiece directly inserted into the briar, the #223 shape is certainly among the rarest.

It can only be found in Castello production and in small quantities.

#223 is a straight bottle, an evolution of the classic bottle, of which it maintains the spherical vase and the slender attachment of the stem.

The edge of the burner is wavy. It was introduced for the first time in 1972, always in a rather limited series; to date three variants of small, medium and large size are known, produced over the course of thirty years.

However, there are no limitations regarding the variety of finishes.
