The sinuous elegance of the Pear shape. This specific model from the Tavern Pipe line stands out for its captivating "Pear" shape. Featuring a gently rounded bowl that tapers toward the base, it offers not only an extremely refined aesthetic but also perfect ergonomics: the bowl fits naturally and comfortably in the palm of your hand while smoking.
The legacy of ancient taverns. Peterson's "Tavern Pipe" series is a magnificent homage to the long clay pipes smoked in the historic taverns of yore. The Dublin-based Irish manufacturer has reinterpreted that age-old charm, replacing fragile clay with the hardness and warmth of the finest briar. The result is a slender design (weighing just 27 grams) that distances itself from the brand's more massive silhouettes to embrace a delicate and sophisticated aesthetic.
The comfort of the Demi-Churchwarden. This pipe's distinctive feature is its long, black vulcanite "Fishtail" mouthpiece, known as a demi-Churchwarden for its intermediate length (18.4 cm overall). This elegant, elongated shank, accented with a shiny nickel band, ensures an incredibly comfortable reading position. The long path the smoke travels through the mouthpiece acts as a cooling chamber, providing a consistently cool, dry, and smooth smoke.
Peterson's unmistakable character. The Pear bowl is enhanced by the company's renowned Rusticated finish. The deep, "rocky" woodwork, stained with warm highlights and a contrasting dark antique, gives the pipe a rugged, handcrafted look and a distinctive tactile grip.
