Peterson Pipe of the Year 2026 Rusticated - Shape 493 (Squat Bulldog / P-Lip) No. 499/1100

30 Years of the "Pipe of the Year": Peterson 2026 (Numbered Edition)

The Pipe of the Year is undoubtedly the most anticipated annual series for Peterson collectors. The 2026 edition is a historic milestone, as it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the birth of this prestigious line. A true tribute to the legacy and craftsmanship of the Irish brand, offered in a strictly limited run of only 1,100 pieces worldwide, each individually serialized and numbered.

Back to the Roots: The Historic Shape 493 (Squat "Cad" Bulldog)

To celebrate this anniversary, Peterson has dusted off its historic archives dating back to 1896. The result is the superb Shape 493, known as the Squat "Cad" Bulldog. This shape is distinguished by a horizontal, wide, and low-slung bowl, which combines significant width with distinctly robust proportions, fully reflecting the muscular aesthetic typical of the Dublin house.

Rustication, Silver, and Vulcanite P-Lip

The finish enhances the fine briar with a deep, dense dark rustication. Making the piece even more luxurious is a lustrous silver band, a tribute to the company’s renowned silversmithing tradition. Completing this historic masterpiece is the famous patented P-Lip mouthpiece, crafted for the occasion in traditional vulcanite, for a soft, comfortable bite and a consistently cool smoke.
