Pesaro's Golden Age. Dated 1977, this Mastro de Paja is a superb testament to the beginnings of Pesaro's renowned artisan manufacture. A historical period in which the brand was forging its unmistakable stylistic DNA, making the surviving examples from these years true vintage treasures for collectors and lovers of the great Italian school.
The perfect hybrid: Pot Dublin. The shape of this pipe is a fascinating fusion of two great classics: the flaring and internal capacity typical of a Pot, combined with the conical and upward-tapering lines reminiscent of the Dublin. This architecture ensures excellent heat distribution and a cool smoke. The smooth finish allows one to admire the beautiful grain of briar that has rested for almost half a century.
"1 Sun" Prestige and Original Silver. The exceptional quality of the wood is certified by the 1B stamping and the prestigious "1 Sun ☀︎" grade, historically reserved by Mastro de Paja for the most beautiful and flawless briar blocks. Enhancing the profile is an elegant original silver band that harmoniously joins the shank to the classic black stem. As this is a used (broken-in) pipe, it offers the advantage of wood that is already perfectly stabilized for an immediately smooth and mature smoke.
