Description

Lagg Single Malt Corriecravie Edition is a fine Scottish whisky, produced by the renowned Lagg distillery. This is the second continuous release, and is characterized by an initial maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by a further refinement of approximately six months in Hogsheads ex-Sherry Oloroso barrels, coming directly from the producer Miguel Martin's cellar, in Jerez. Its alcohol content is 55% vol., without the addition of colorings and without cold filtration.

The taste of this fine Whiskey is slightly more complex than the "Kilmory" version, thus showing a different side of the LAGG spirit, characterized by pure notes of sweet spices and fruit. The "Corriecravie" edition is bottled in smaller quantities than its previous version, making it an even more exclusive choice for whiskey connoisseurs.

Corriecravie is a small hamlet north-west of Lagg, located in a privileged position overlooking the southern coast of the Island. Here the first illicit distilleries were born which, during the prohibition period, produced the infamous "Arran Water". Close to the village is 'Torr a' Chaisteil Dun', a fort dating back to the late Iron Age, around 2000 years ago, known locally as 'Castle Hill'.

As for the tasting notes, the Lagg Single Malt Corriecravie Edition has an amber color. On the nose there are hints of bitter chocolate and spicy red fruits. On the palate it is rich and tasty, with its elegant notes of embers and hazelnut which make it a unique and unforgettable tasting experience.
